We know how important screen-free breaks are for children and families. That’s why we support Fairplay and the Action Network, thrilled to celebrate Screen-Free Week every year!
During the first week of May, thousands of families, schools, and communities step away from their digital devices to rediscover the joy of life away from screens. Not only is Screen-Free Week a great way for children to enjoy life without entertainment screens, but it offers the chance for participants to create healthier screen-free habits year-round.
We think every child should have the opportunity to experience this wonderful celebration—how will you join us?
Here are 3 ways on how to get involved:
We invite any individual or family to pledge to participate in this year’s event, which takes place May 1-7. Download our new family guide to get started and peruse the Screen-Free Week resource library full of free information to support your week.
If you’re interested, you’re invited to host an event during this year’s Screen-Free Week. This could be a week-long celebration or just one afternoon of fun—the choice is yours! We invite you to download one of our new event guides, (for community members, schools, and libraries) to get started!
We’d love it if you share Screen-Free Week’s educational and promotional material. This includes our weekly blog posts, (check out our roundtable talk with teens about screen time) and our posts on Facebook and Instagram (we’re @screenfreeweek)
