Screen Smart Sam is an essential addition to your family’s library at home. Following Sam on his journey through screen time addiction highlights how excessive device usage can harm a child's health. Sam became addicted to his phone at a young age, choosing screen time over sleeping, engaging with friends in person, and participating in physical activities. Recognizing his obsession, his parents decide to embrace a “Screen Smart Family” lifestyle. The author, Nicole Rawson, is an expert in screen smart techniques and the founder of the Screen Time Clinic. In this book, she offers families practical strategies to navigate screen time and promote digital citizenship. As a school psychologist, I understand the risks associated with too much screen time for children. Screen Smart Sam is an outstanding resource that educates families about the dangers of screen time addiction while providing tools for children to manage their device use more responsibly. I highly recommend this book! - Marla, School Psychologist
This is a great book, Screen Smart Sam, to support our kiddos with Social Emotional Learning. It even aids in addressing attendance awareness and tackles many other issues related to screen time addiction that aren't commonly discussed in the classroom. Additionally, it serves as one of the essential digital citizenship books for guiding young learners in today's tech-centric world. -Diego, Elementary School Counselor
I loved your book, Screen Smart Sam, because for a while I played video games like Sam did, but now I understand that video games are okay when played once a week. I also appreciated your book because it highlights how sometimes kids become obsessed with games or their phones, which relates to screen time addiction. I have a friend who often plays video games, and I think I can tell them about this book, as it's one of the best digital citizenship books I've read. I believe your book is both educational and amazing. 😊
